I absolutely 100% understand your point and I think you are right as well, however, I don’t know if you follow Fortnite on social media or in any way shape or form, but EVERYTIME Epic does something that the community doesn’t like the kids complain about it and they do it nonstop too. Like, I'm "boycotting" the item shop too, but these prices are 205k cheaper than trading prices, so I couldn't not get it with my 28k leftover credits that are already on my account! I mostly just wanted the stride tides and holographic chakrams, which would have cost over 5k with trading prices, so everything else was just a huge bonus.

I now have 400 credits and trading is gone, so unless they ever add a way to earn some free credits, I'm stuck on 400 forever (because I'm never giving Epic money again).

Here’s what I’m thinking will happen if we boycott the item shop. And I mean REALLY boycott it. Everyone gets together and boycotts. I think there are 3 options. 1. They bring trading back (IMO unlikely when compared to the other 2). 2. They bring extremely rare items into the shop like alpha items so people will buy stuff. 3. I don't think that boycotting the item shop will make them revert their decision. however, right now it seems like Epic's not doing too well financially with everyone they've been laying off. Because of that, they're pushing really hard for items, and if that doesn't work, they'll be in not great shape. Potentially, they might then sell the game to someone who actually cares about if they need fast money

They know these websites are available and aren’t a scam. They can’t handle that and want full control of their items. I feel like boycott or not epic games is still be a fomo profiting and fomo based company so much so that its dam near unstopable and inevitable that they will simply just make decisions thats bettering them over us, as for much of the game companies and companies in general that puppeteer the market and its consumer base. I feel this deicision has simply driven a knife down the middle of the rl fan base in a way that divides the angry and the unchanged, the angry people make the argument of boycotting and things along these lines and the unchanged simply dont care either way, its hard for a human to simpithize with the other side of an argument because its dam near programed into us, i feel like the situation would be better on many levels if we would just stop arguing with eachother and find a third option, an example would be the push to get rl out of the hands of epic, this would benefit both sides, incuring that the new comapny brings trading back.

I’d be happy if they brought trading back but I can’t say not having it has hindered my experience any. I don’t like that the racing is part of Fortnite. I wish it were its own thing.
