I think the boycott is working - I have not yet seen one playing using the black reaper goalexplosion. That item was listed arround 130-145k on rl.insider. I did buy the tw reaper in the shop for some time ago and it was listed to 45k on rl.insider. I allready own a black and tw octane, but i dont get any discount in the shop. When I buy a bundle on Steam that has an item i allready have I dont have to pay for items I allready owns. I dont understand why epic just removed the trading without change to the shop. The only thing they seem to do is add items with GOLD paint.
And they throw in the black reaper that was 130.000 credit on rl.insider. Just to say Merry Christmas to the extreme collectors that owned that item. I guess Black Dieci and Tunica is comming to the shop at New Year. Why not put all the zillions of old item out for a total of 4000 Credit, and hire a designer to make some new. And make some new server that only runs the new items. And people with old items get buggy servers in india with 160ms ping.
Snowday and trading was my main use of Rocket League. But the problem is that even without it i like the base game. And there is Zerro=NO alternative. All other car-games have alternative, Forza, Assetto, Dirt, CarX, Project Cars, Beam NG etc, there are so many really good games. But Rocket League is unique. I have tried drone racing, but no ball. I have tried FIFA but no car. This crazy game with its hard to learn skills comes with no alternative. So we can cry all we want. I dont think the game will die soon, but something have to pay for the server and for the rich LEGO family. LEGO own a very big chunck of EPIC. And man do they know how to make money.
@cles I cant see how my credit has any reallife value. All I can buy is digital items without value. Epic can recycle all the zillions of existing items for 1000+ years if they keep showing arround 7 items pr day. And they also relist items multiple times a year, so.... If have credit or items it is all worth 0.
@cles Yeh until they put a date on the "gift cards credit (C)" to be spend. Or make up another currency like the Esport Currency (E). A shared platform currency (X) for all new stuff. And put an end to the Credit only to be used to buy all the old items we know.
I got arround 200.000c from pure trading with profit 20-50c pr deal - over 2-3 years - so I know what you feel. But OMG what a waist of time. I am happy to get my time back. Thank you Epic. It feels like a loss. But now I got my time and life back. I was addicted in a bad way. I thought I was on a mission. But I had my head down in details and website and action, but where did it all go? Trading extreme bad designed items. OMG when I play FH5 I feel like I own a real car. Happy this pokemon card worthless collector mania is over. Hurra!
Then what to do with all the credit i sit on? If they launch proper items I will buy
