Doesn't matter if you like trump or not. The fact is America tried it one way, and it hasn't worked. Now they're trying the other way. It's harder, but the end result is supposed to be better. I suppose only those with a crystal ball and the power to see the future can know if it will be a good thing or not. Politics is a tricky thing to talk about because no matter what you do or say, right or wrong, it's always going to end up turning into a bad discussion or upsetting someone. Also might lead to people justify their actions by saying it’s in “the name of Christ” or they’re being “divinely guided.” And if god is the center of your life it’ll often lead you to see the world as “us vs everyone else.” You start to see other people, because of their religion and beliefs, inferior to you. Even other Christian denominations. This has historically led to conflict and exclusion.
