I think they removed trading because their clearly worse shop was suffering. Pretty dystopian to push your option and end a much better one because you are the owner. Another reason might be that they are trying to launch a system owned and controlled by them (i.e. a marketplace). This is a bit dystopian too, since they seek to copy and kill what others have already been doing.
