As we say goodbye to the festive Season 11 and its Nissan Silvia, we now roll out the red carpet for Season 12! This season, Psyonix teamed up with Porsche, the legendary German automaker, to introduce the iconic Porsche 911 Turbo as the highlight item and centerpiece of this season's content. The overarching theme this season is all about the chaos and unpredictability of hacking — specifically by the “Zero-Day” hacker, who is a character represented in many of the new items in the new Rocket Pass. Season 12 is live from September 6 until December 6.

The Porsche 911 — an automotive icon known for its sleek design, unmatched performance, and rich racing history — takes center stage in Season 12. The standard Porsche 911 Turbo edition is unlockable right off the bat at tier 1 of the premium Rocket Pass, while the more aggressive Porsche 911 Turbo RLE version will be unlockable in the later premium tiers. Both Porsche 911 editions use the Dominus hitbox, just like the DeLorean, Peregrine TT, Dominus itself, and more.

The Porsche 911 come with new realistic wheel designs — and they look great! If you’re into realistic wheels, these will be right up your alley. And if not, there are plenty of wild designs in the rest of the Rocket Pass.

Beyond the Porsche 911 Turbo, you'll discover a dazzling array of futuristic hacker-inspired items, perfect for flaunting as you ascend the ranks. Among the standout new items are the Interchiller: Radiant Wheels, Firewall Boost, Giga-Hurts Wheels, and Virused Goal Explosion.

Debuting this season is Bob’s Ramen theme song, obtainable at premium tier 62!

Upon reaching tier 70 in the premium Rocket Pass, you'll unlock Zero’s World, a goal explosion that covers the entire arena in bits and bytes whenever you score a goal.

Please note that you'll need the premium Rocket Pass to access this item at tier 70. Additionally, painted versions of this goal explosion and other items will become available at higher premium tiers (70+). If you're looking for these painted variants, you can also obtain them through trading on RL Garage.

Zero's World

If you decide to purchase the Premium Rocket Pass, which unlocks the Porsche 911 Turbo car and gives you the opportunity to unlock plenty more, it will cost you the usual 1,000 Credits. Neo Tokyo receives a new look this season. The once neon-lit cityscape has now gone dark after being taken offline by Zero-Day. When playing this arena, the Zero-Day hacker’s masked face will make an appearance on the field when a goal is scored.

Get ready for a fresh batch of Tournament rewards! This lineup features additions like the Twisted Tornado Goal Explosion, Hypno-Web Decal, Sabr-619: Inverted Wheels, and the questionable Mechmania Wheels, plus a host of other items. Remember, these items are exclusively attainable by participating in Tournaments and achieving rewards, and they cannot be traded.

As Season 11 comes to an end, competitive rewards are handed out. This time, eight different squiggly translucent Boosts are on the line, all given out based on the highest reward level you achieved during season 11. Reaching a higher rank will unlock all the rewards for the ranks below it. As always, Titles will be granted if you end up in one of the Grand Champion or Supersonic Legend ranks.

Psyonix has hinted at another round of Aftermarket items in the Neo Tokyo: Aftermarket Item Shop Tab. We last saw this back in March, where a series of bundles featuring Decals, Wheels, and Toppers were made available for purchase. We’ll have to wait and see if the same Aftermarket items will return to the Item Shop, or if we’ll get brand new ones. Keep an eye out on our Item Shop page for updates.

Furthermore, Psyonix is hinting in their Season 12 announcement that this year's Halloween festivities will be “something to remember” — but we still don’t have any specifics on it, so we’ll have to wait and see what they mean.

We feel that Season 12 is a decent update overall. The “Zero-Day” hacker, and all that it entails, is a bit of gimmick, but it’s all in good fun, so it doesn’t bother us. As for the Tournament rewards… they’re okay. They’re slightly underwhelming and lacking of any cool-factor (for the most part). The Porsche 911 Turbo and Porsche 911 Turbo RLE are undeniably cool, and is in our opinion the greatest addition this season.
