Well epic games CEO Tim Sweeney, is an absolute crackhead and literally still lives in his parents basement. He is the one that completely took away trading and never will bring it back as far as we can tell.

We need trading back.... There's so much OG items I wish I could get right now.. if they are worried about losing money. Maybe they should bring back trading but only allow trading of items.
