Apparently it happens when too many requests are sent to the game’s servers in a short amount of time. So spamming stuff (like searching and canceling a match) could cause it. But it’s happened to me a couple times when I didn’t do anything, so I think it’ll sometimes happen when rocket league’s servers are sucking.
