Speed flip

Strykeredbull11’s discussion got a lot of attention and started a few arguments. I’m here to clear things up. As an experienced player I do not think speed flips are necessary or even very helpful until at the very lowest, champ. If you ask anyone who’s champ or above they are likely to agree with me. All the d1s and plats who claim that the speed flip helps and made them rank up probably don’t realize that them ranking up was due to other things like game sense and mechanics that they can’t visualize progressing as clearly as something like a speedflip. Essentially, saying that a speed flip helped you rank up is like saying learning to flip reset is what made you rank up. Sure it will help but most of the time, a flip reset is unnecessary to score just like a speedflip is unnecessary to win a kickoff.
