@sketchersam ah yes, for some it was the perfect time. They could have phased it out regionally so it would be early am for all. It's just so clunky how they did it. And no last minute pop up announcment to extend for another day or two either, I was hoping for that. They had many options, but they just hit the off switch.
+1 a great site, spent a lot of time here.
I can't believe they killed it at 4pm PST. I mean, people aren't even home yet in the west, so their last night to trade was really yesterday. They could have done this at 3 am, but no, it just had to be the afternoon. /smh
I'll miss it a ton, it's an absurd backwards thinking decision to remove it. Digital content trading is the future, and epic is going back in time trying to show off its' time travel skills but no one cares. Traders want to trade, not drop C notes in the store and miss items they might not see again for years. I missed the SB nightmare the other week and there's no BP's for it and I am not happy. Why no BP's? What could possibly be the reason for that? It drives me crazy when companies say, "no, we don't want your money that badly, you can go now". BRING IN THE COMPETITION!!!
And now what they've done is open up a gigantic door for the competition because now there are TWO reasons for the comp to make a new game. Actually 3 if you count the poor design of the overall game and menus, inventory, tradiing, etc, and the bizarro lack of full color pallets and inability to properly color match content. If the comp comes in, it may force epic to back pedal and reenable trading, but the damage will be done by then.
Not the end, but they definitely tossed a large wet blanket on the game and community. I mean, literally nobody wanted this, and it was completely unnecessary. And not even allowing BP trading to continue is as dumb as screen doors on a submarine. I mean, people have to buy credits from the store to build the BP's, so... there's zero loss for epic allowing BP trading.
