Three Free DLC Packs

Hey folks, many of you have been asking why some of the DLC battle cars are unavailable for purchase. Well we have some exciting news for fans that don’t own the first 3 DLC packs in Rocket League. On the 24th, Psyonix announced that the first three DLC packs that were released will become free!

All content previously released in the Supersonic Fury, Revenge of the Battle-Cars and Chaos Run DLC packs will be given to all players as it will permanently be part of the base game. This means that players will have access to 6 more battle cars, (Scarab, Takumi, Zippy, Dominus, Grog, and Ripper) plus the wheels, decals, and paint finishes that come with them. The change is set to happen on all platforms later this year, as there is no set date given by the developers.

Players may no longer buy these DLC packs off the store for obvious reasons. Furthermore, the three DLCs have been removed from the Rocket League Game Of The Year Edition. Anyone who purchased any of the three packs after October 1st will receive a refund. An update on the free release of the DLCs is to be stated by Psyonix soon.

Below is a list of all the items that will become free, once this change is introduced later this year.

To be honest whatever DLC we bought we should get painted variants for those specific cars. For example if you bought the dominus and takumi pack after the update we should get all painted bodies for those two cars and all of the people who didn’t buy it wouldn’t get them....maybe?

I didnt buy any of the DLC but all the items stated were all in my inventry when I first started playing RL. Don't know why people are getting mad about dlc becoming free these DLC are like 3 years old now and from what I remember the DLC were not that expensive I thinks it's a good idear and I think more game developers should make some of there DLC free after they been out for a few years. xbox give away games for Xbox live customers so why not dlc

This is awesome, been playing since nearly day one. Played on PS4, PC then Xbox. My only concern is the loot box chances, that's been some bs since day one. I can't tell you how many keys I've used only to get two one black market and that was the crappiest one of them all, tiger skin or whatever it's called. But for reals I love this game, psyonix is invited to my wedding whenever that may be.

Woot woot! I could have been using the DLC basically for free since the beginning of October, but I'm more than happy with this! It just feels like some of these (Ripper, Scarab, more Paint Finishes) should be part of the game. The SARPBC items largely feel like they should be here, too. I'm glad I can use these on more than just xbox.

Very thankful for the new customization this brings to base Rocket League.

Bought the 3 dlc packs day but no refund for the people who actually paid for the content in the beginning and got this game going on it’s great path. Playing it right now actually and it’s the first time I’ve ever had the urge to stop and play something different but that’s what I just did. Feels bad man. Love the game but this is very unfair and are going to upset a lot of of players I know that. So those of you who just recently bought the dlc packs years after they released enjoy your refund.

Hi sebastom, the first 3 DLCs were cheap for the most part and I believe they went on multiple sales, it was all cosmetics. You can’t expect to earn anything extra from something you bought that came out very early in the games lifetime. So can you really complain when something that old becomes free for the community to enjoy. If you’re that mad over a cheap DLC(s) you shouldn’t be buying DLC(s) in the first place bud, no offense. Either way, sorry for your frustration, have a good day sir. :)

I can understand the frustration in which you bought something with your hard earned money and it became free, but it’s been out for a while, it’s not like you bought it right before the available refund date. Psyonix is doing something nice for the Rocket League community and giving us all some free stuff. No, if you bought the DLC’s before the date of October 1st, you may not receive a refund nor any extra items for buying them earlier. Psyonix can’t just give a refund to everyone or that would be a huge loss in money. Sorry for the inconvenience folks, and enjoy the free stuff!

We won't get the refund, we paid for those DLCs to have access to them too long ago. The refund will be given to those that bought the pack about one month ago if I'm not mistaken. See it as if you paid for an early access. The only thing I think they could do (not too probable) would be an extra item for those that paid for the content.
