Happy Birthday, Rocket League! 

July 7th 2021 will be the 6th anniversary of Rocket League’s launch on Steam and PlayStation 4, a time when painted items were just a glint in the developer’s eyes and item trading was a feature that didn’t even make sense. Epic didn’t own Psyonix, Fortnite was still two years away from existing, and Dave Hagewood, CEO of Psyonix, hadn’t even been made to eat a “bunch of bread”.

Anyway, that’s a long time ago now, and Rocket League has gone from strength to strength ever since. With a huge surge in players since the free-to-play update last year, new features, tonnes of limited time game modes, and more returning DLC than you can shake a stick at, this year has been one of the best yet.

To celebrate, the Summer Formal bundle, possibly the most exclusive of all Rocket League bundles, is heading to the item store on July 7th for just one day.

Unfortunately we're not sure how much the Summer Formal bundle will cost just yet. We’ve seen the Fancy Formal decal for Octane previously as a featured item on the item shop for 100 credits, but the other two items are all new. As a celebratory bundle we're hoping it won't be in the thousands, but that remains to be seen.

As they’re available for just one day, this will likely mean that the complete birthday suit will be one of the most exclusive looks in Rocket League. There’s no information on when (or if) they’ll ever be available again, so if you want the look, make sure you buy it while you can.
