Yesterday saw quite a large feature update for both the RL Garage website and app. Here’s what got added!

As was hinted on the RL Garage Twitter account last week, the RL Garage Car Designer is finally here! 

Have you ever wondered what a Pink Takumi RX-T with Sanchez DC-137 wheels, rainbow boost, Crimson EQ trail, and blue Cookie Dough paint would look like? Me neither, but now you can find out without having to get the items to make that monstrosity in-game! You don’t even need to open Rocket League or install any mods, you can just load up the website or app and choose the items you want.

You can use almost any item available in-game for loadouts. The only restriction is that console-exclusive items like the Sweet Tooth body are not available.

If you only want to see the designs that other people have come up with, you’re covered there, too! Head on over to the Car Designer page where you’ll be able to see the most popular designs from the last day, week or month, and also see the latest creations that other players have come up with.

This is just the initial version of the car designer - there are many plans for more social functionality and better ways to discover new designs in the works, so keep an eye on things as they develop. We want it to be as easy as possible for the best designs to rise to the top, and who knows, maybe there will be prizes for the best designs at some point.

This feature took a huge amount of effort to get across the line - it turns out that getting all of the data you need to make something like this work is quite a challenge.

Along with the Car Designer, the Item Database has been completely overhauled too! Every item (and painted variant) in the database now has a stand-alone page with preview images, series information, previous shop prices, blueprint crafting costs (if applicable), trade pricing courtesy of RL Insider, and more!

You’ll also be able to see some of the most popular user-submitted designs featuring that item, so it’s a great way to get inspiration for your next battle car build. Check out the links below to go to some of the item pages and see what’s new.

On the RL Garage website, you can also browse all current and past Rocket Pass seasons. Check it out here. This feature will be arriving in the app soon!

If you’re a Sideswipe player (if you’re not, why not?) then you can also check to see if an item is available in Sideswipe on the new version of the item database! If you take a look at the Rocket League Bodies page, you’ll notice the RL Sideswipe logo against some of the items - if it’s there, then the item is somewhere in Sideswipe! If you use the RL Garage app, the Sideswipe availability of an item is listed in the item info section.

More work is required to understand exactly how every item is obtained, but anything marked with an icon is at least in the Sideswipe game data. Some items may not be available to unlock just yet, but they’ll hopefully be coming soon.

Ever wanted to be able to keep track of in-game Rocket League Tournaments more easily? Keep forgetting to play for those tournament credits? Well, maybe you should check out the brand new Tournament Schedule page! 

Everyone can now set tournament reminders for any official in-game tournament, for free! RL Garage Premium users can enjoy recurring reminders, so you'll automatically be reminded of any tournament that fits your criteria.

Despite being a minor feature, everybody on the team has actually found the reminder notifications to be remarkably useful. If you want to grind some of the incredible tournament rewards then take a look and set some notifications — maybe the extra credits will help you get that sick Titanium White Planetary goal explosion!

Psyonix have been very active with the Item Shop bundles this year, and we wanted to have a place where you can view them all at a glance, without needing to launch the game. So we did just that!

Head over to the Item Shop page (or visit the Item Shop tab in the app). Here you will see new tabs for the various bundles that are currently on sale.

The homepage of the RL Garage app has been given a bit of a refresh, with better discoverability for everything the app has to offer. You’ll see popular designs, the latest Rocket League news, videos from the RL Garage YouTube Channel (like, comment, subscribe, by the way!), links to popular items on the item database, and more.

This page can be customized to your liking, so if you don't care much for popular items (so edgy, wow), you can simply hide them from the page. If you love our videos, you can even move those to the very top of the page — it's entirely up to you!
