It was announced on April fool's day, but we've been assured that this one isn't a fool. In 'late April' Rocket League will be receiving it's next full patch, and it looks set to be one of the best yet.

Hoops

Everybody has been desperate to hear when Hoops would be released, and now we have a narrow (ish) time frame for it of 'late April.' Hoops will be available in exhibition mode, private matches and also in a new unranked online playlist similar to Snow Day. The map will be named 'Dunk House,' which is pretty cool.

New Map!

This one will please Gibbs in particular. The 'Cosmic' map from the original game, Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket Powered Battle Cars, will be making its way into Rocket League. For now it will only be getting the Rocket Labs treatment so it won't look exactly the same, but hopefully it will have the same feel as it's SARPBC counterpart. Either way, it's a new map, and that's no bad thing.

Replays

Once of the most demanded features I've seen has been the ability to save replays mid-game rather than having to remember at the end of the game. It seems Psyonix has heard that call and will be implementing two news features relating to replays in the coming patch.

Firstly, you'll be able to save replays mid-game by hitting a hotkey at any time. Score an incredible goal? Hit the key and the replay will automatically be saved when the game ends. Secondly, you'll now be able to rename replays to make the list easier to navigate and manage.

Bounces

If you've noticed odd bounces in the game recently you're not alone. The April patch will address these on all maps. The official patch preview contains some great gifs of the bounces before and after the fixes, and by the looks of it this will save a lot of frustration when you anticipate a bounce, only for it to fly off at a completely different angle.

XBOX One

Since launch the XBOX One version of the game has been slightly behind, but this patch will set things right. Rocket Labs will be coming to Rocket League's newest platform, as will all of the features in the April patch.
