Weird rank glitch

So I was plat 2 div 2 and came back from a 5 game win streak. Then I lost the next game and went back to plat 1 div 3. I don’t understand this and I’ve talked to my friend about it and he said it happened 4 times to him. It happened twice to me. Is this supposed to happen and is it happening to anyone else?

So it depends if u had just ranked up to plat 2 and then lost because sometimes it puts u against a higher player for more Mmr and if u win u rank down regularly and if u win u rank up a lot and then if u win and u play again it will probably out u against a lower rank and if u lose it will rank u down a lot and if u win u will prob gain a cushion match
