What rank really defines how good a player is?

I’ve been thinking on which rank out of 1s, 2s and 3s shows the overall skill of a player. Imo I think it is 1s as that is how you play the game and shows how good you are as a player, but then a friend of mine is gc 2s but play 3 1s and he is as good as me. I’m just interested in what you guys think 🤔

I think most people have lower 1s and 3s than they have 2s, but thats just because of the popularity(i think)

That was very poetic lol That’s why I mainly play 2s, as I get to practice what I’ve trained for, and I get the assistance of a teammate. I really should start playing 1s more

@Marvin88420 i know its a hot take but i LOVE 1s. I can just focus on getting better instead if needing to manage my team8 whos being afk in net after getting demod. And i know thats why a lot of players hate 1s but i always know that i made a mistake if i got scored on and can improve (exept lag)

@Mattutius I also love (or used to love, back when I played Rocket League) ones mode! One thing I also liked was that feeling that whenever I won a game, I did it all by myself, and not by some random good teamate.

Probably 1s, because it shows what you can do alone, 2s is good for passes and team plays, and 3s are just awkward

I'm rubbish in 3s because I'm a playmaker and a def midfielder, so I rely on my team to score the goals essentially. 2s is my favourite and the one I usually get the highest rank in, and 1s is usually on par with my 3s rank. This season I've dropped in almost everything quite drastically, so it's hard to tell for me.

I only play 1s and 2s because if I play 3s I have a 2x higher chance to get bad tm8s. I’m silver 3 in 3s also so everyone in my lobbies is trash which I’m not rly used to

Yea epic kinda broke 1s gold thru diamond is pretty much the same rank. I also wish that if you get disconnected it wouldn't ban you in 1s

I see everyone like 3s bc of rlcs, but if you look, most pros never play 3s bc of pro scrims, appjack and vatira are both like c1 in 3s

I think it’s between 2s and 3s since mostly it shows how you can deal with other people and rlcs is based on 3s

If the person wants to go pro then most likely 3s right? It also depends on what mode the person mains tbh
