How to get GC at tournaments ?

I am in the rank of champion 3 in tournaments, but every time I play a tournament (champion 3) I am eliminated from the first round and the whole lobby is full of Gc 's when I derank to champion 2 , I'm eliminating like a quarter-final or semi-final, how can I get to GC (now I am Champ 3 division 2) pls help.
