Ah yes, the long awaited tournament! So I mentioned in my county back when summer started… and now it happened. Now, it is more depressing than you’d expect. I did make it to the finals… but it’s not as awesome as you would think. If all 16 were here, the winner would get the one grand, except only 8 signed up. So I’m like “Ok!” “I can still get $500!” But then including me only 3 showed up. I did make it to the finals… and it went to game 7… and then I lost. In my defense, I had to use a PS5 controller which I’ve never used in my life, and play someone who started in 2015 and has hit Champ in 25 straight seasons. 💀 They’re my new duo now, as you’ll see in my other post… but it’s funny! They almost didn’t sign up… because their friend almost joined… and that friend is the 16th highest ranked player on the entire East Coast. 💀 Thank god he didn’t or I would’ve been cooked. In the end… I still walked away with $75 bucks to my name… and it doesn’t matter! It’s the friends we made along the way… and I’m just not gonna think about the 50 bucks in the hole 🥀💀
