Archive messages bug

So whenever I try to archive a conversation with another app user, it would close it out but instead of archiving the convo, another persons dms would just replace it, then if I tried to archive theirs, the original conversation from the other person would reappear... I wish their was an option to just fully close a dm or conversation with someone. Please fix or at least check it out that would be great!
