I agree that some designs are distracting and I prefer a cleaner car in-game myself. However, not all designs have to be tryhard to be good.

@TryHarder7861 you are correct about simple cars making you play better in game, since it makes you concentrate on the game and not just go "ooh flashy car mm". But I see the car designer as a form of creating art. And you don't see many simple designs getting fame here, unlike the creative and lavish designs that top the charts.
