@Blink and it doesn’t affect the whole household as much as it own game because if me and frosty are playing twos I’m play in one lobby he’s playing in another and say I get ddossed it won’t mess his game up that’s why it’s so annoying unless he’s in a game where little lag is the worse :Fortnite:

@tiderll In Rocket League, a DDoS attack (Distributed Denial of Service) is a type of cyberattack where a malicious actor floods a player’s internet connection or the game servers (not someones household that’s a criminal offense), with an overwhelming amount of traffic. The goal is to disrupt the victim’s connection, causing lag, disconnections, or even forfeits, often to gain an unfair advantage in ranked matches.

@NukeEes The ddos attacks usually require the attacker to first obtain the victim’s IP address, often through third-party apps or social engineering. Once targeted, the victim may experience severe lag or be forced out of matches, affecting their gameplay and ranking. To protect themselves, players can use a VPN, avoid sharing personal information, and report suspicious behavior to Psyonix.
