The best substitute for alpha boost is a boost called Bandwidth. It has the same sound sample as alph boost, but they added an extra buzzing sound to it for the Bandwidth boost.

But the best looking one is yellow flamethrower (legacy item) because it’s got the trail of boost when just driving and it looks legit. And then yellow standard (legacy item) cuz it’s the size of alpha boost but I recommend using yellow flamethrower.
