Start your engines! NASCAR and Formula 1 meets Rocket League in Season 3, introducing a new arena, a new competitive season, a new Rocket Pass season, a trade update, and more. The season starts April 7th and ends on August 11th.
Changes to trading
With this update, Psyonix has added additional restrictions to player-to-player trading. This will put huge limitations on trading, so read carefully.
Before trading with other accounts is activated, all accounts must
Reach XP Level 30
Have 50 or more minutes in Online Matches
Accounts with XP Levels 30-99
Can trade three times per day
Limit of 2,000 Credits per trade
Accounts with XP Levels 100-249
Can trade ten times per day
Limit of 10,000 Credits per trade
Accounts with XP Level 250 or greater
Unlimited trades per day
Limit of 100,000 Credits per trade
Psyonix has heard your feedback and has made the following changes to the trading eligibility requirements:
Accounts at XP Level 30-99: Maximum of 10 trades per day (up from 3 per day)
Accounts at XP Level 100+: Unlimited trades per day (up from 10 per day for accounts below Level 250)
Trade In update
The trade in system has been completely revamped with this update. There is now a new "Trade In" button added to the Garage menu.
Trade in items are now split into three categories: Core Items, Tournament Items, and Blueprints. After choosing a category, you have to choose between the different rarities. Five items of the same rarity can be traded in for an item of higher rarity.
You can read more about the trade in update here.
DFH Stadium (Circuit)
This version of DFH Stadium has been outfitted with a race track to fit the NASCAR and Formula 1 theme of this season.
The new arena will be immediately playable in all casual and competitive playlists!
This Rocket Pass features 68 new items (excluding Credits, XP Boosts, and Drops), which are spread across 70 tiers. Paintable variants of the items drop at tiers 70+.
The notable new item in the Premium Rocket Pass is the all-new Tyranno body, which has 10 exclusive decals - unlockable throughout the Rocket Pass. It has been revealed by Psyonix that it uses the Dominus hitbox (same hitbox as Dominus, Ronin, Diestro, and more).
Tiers beyond Tier 70 will no longer be hidden. Instead, players at Tier 70 or beyond will now see what item they can unlock 30 Tiers in advance.
Here are the two new Special Edition items that can drop after tiers 70+ if you have the Premium Rocket Pass:
A new Competitive Tournament season has begun, and brand new Rewards are now available to unlock with Tournament Credits. Compete in official Psyonix hosted tournaments to earn Tournament Credits.
The new Season 3 Tournament Rewards have replaced the Season 2 Tournament Rewards, and they will no longer be obtainable through Competitive Tournaments. Two brand new Black Market items have made their way into the Rewards list:
As always, these Tournament Rewards are not tradable.
