Season 2 is here
The next season of Rocket League is finally here! Season 2 adds a brand new arena, new music from Kaskade, a new item category called Player Anthems, a new competitive season, a new season of Rocket Pass, and more. The season starts December 9th and ends on March 31st.
Neon Fields
This new arena can be played in all standard online playlist, as well as in private matches. The arena has a full-blown concert going on in the background, with Buffy-Sugo as DJ.
Yes, the very same Buffy-Sugo from the Black Market goal explosion from the Season 1 Series.
Rocket Labs
You can expect even more new arenas in Season 2! Psyonix has announced that they are bringing Rocket Labs back to Rocket League. Rocket Labs are experimental arenas that break the rules of traditional arenas by altering the shape and size of them. Periodically throughout Season 2, these Rocket Labs arenas will be playable during limited time game modes.
Psyonix has also hinted at a SARPBC throwback Rocket Lab, which will become available later in Season 2. Very exciting!
Player Anthems
The music theme continues as Player Anthems are added to Rocket League. Anthems are a new type of item category that can be unlocked through in-game challenges, Rocket Pass, and the Item Shop. Many of the songs featured in Rocket League will become available to unlock as Player Anthems.
Once you've equipped a Player Anthem, the song can be heard by all players during a match, when important game events occur, such as scoring a goal, getting an epic save, or achieving the MVP status at the end of the game.
All players will have 5 Anthems unlocked by default. They are:
"Angel Wings" - by Mike Ault feat. Avianna Acid "Flying Forever" - by Mike Ault feat. Morgan Perry "I Can Be" - by Mike Ault feat. Crysta "Love Thru the Night" - by Mike Ault "We Speak Chinese" - by Mike Ault and Abandoned CarnivalRocket Pass
This Rocket Pass features 68 new items (excluding Credits, XP Boosts, and Drops), which are spread across 70 tiers. Paintable variants of the items drop at tiers 70+.
The notable new item in the Premium Rocket Pass is the all-new R3MX body, which has 8 exclusive decals - unlockable throughout the Rocket Pass. It has been revealed by Psyonix that it uses the Hybrid hitbox (same hitbox as Jäger 619, Endo, Venom, and more).
Even more exciting for some, is that this Rocket Pass comes with special new items that move to the beat of the in-game music.
Here are the three new Special Edition items that can drop after tiers 70+ if you have the Premium Rocket Pass:

Polyergic: Inverted

Esoto 4R: Inverted

3-Lobe: Infinite
Tournaments
In Season 1, Psyonix introduced the revamped tournament system, where you could win reward items for competing in tournaments. This season is no different, as even more reward items have been added this time around!
Tactical Quick Chat
There's a new chat setting that will try to get rid of player toxicity. It's called "Tactical Quick Chat Only" and can be enabled in your game settings. When it's enabled, it will hide all in-game chat messages, except for these quick chats:
All yours. Centering! Defending… Go for it! I got it! In position. Incoming! Need boost! Take the shot! Faking. Bumping! On your left. On your right. Passing!Esports Shop
The Esports Shop has gotten an overhaul. It will no longer behave like the regular rotating Item Shop, where a limited number of items are added to the shop periodically. Instead, you will be able to purchase any esports item from any team you want. That's right, all esports items can be purchased - no waiting required!
Real quick: If you enjoy these types of round-ups, please consider supporting us by using the in-game creator code RLGARAGE (Click here to learn how to use it). #ad
Thanks for reading and have fun in Season 2!
