RLCS World Championship - Northern Gaming vs JAM Gaming

9 years ago by HoxianYob in Esports
The shock of Northern Seeding as the last place EU Team means that they play against the lowest ranked team here, JAM Gaming. But they have proved they are here for a reason and hopefully we will have a tasty game.
The Lineups

NG: Turbopolsa

NG: Remkoe

NG: Deevo

JAM: Montyconnor

JAM: Express

JAM: Bango

Game 1

We're underway! JAM start with some offense but an even 50/50 denies an early goal. Ball possession goes to Northern but JAM are denying them of breaking out of the Northern Gaming half. The pace has been rather slow as well and Montyconnor can almost get a double touch. Remkoe takes a long shot and Turbo realises it is in so he leaves it and almost 2 minutes the lead goes to the heavy favorites. Another long shot and Deevo can snipe the left hand side off the goal to increase the lead to 2-0. The ball falls in the NG box but the attacker can only connect with the player rather than the ball. Turbo out to remkoe and another long shot extends the lead to 3. Remkoe's shot is blocked away by Express but the ball rolls back to NG possession. Turbo gets it over the JAM defender and Deevo can get up for a shot and keep the score tally ticking. Deevo off the wall and it falls to Remkoe and he can get another one with some precise accuracy, 5-0 in the last minute. Express takes a shot, it's saved and a counter attack sees Deevo push it to Turbo to get the teams 6th goal. The countdown is music to JAM's ears and they can reset and look towards the next game.

Game 2

Once again at the start off the game we see some early pressure from NG and a bar down shot from Remkoe means that after 34 seconds of game 2, NG take the lead. Turbo beats Montyconnor up to the ball and that starts a counter attack for Deevo to pass to Remkoe to find the top of the goal. The initial shot saved and then Deevo's follow up is saved by Bango, restoring a little bit of confidence for the OCE Team. A demo on remkoe means that possession is turned over and JAM can start to build. Remkoe goes for a nice shot but Bango spoils it to keep the deficit at 2-0. Deevo to the middle but it's too far in front of Turbo meaning Bango can clear. Turbo takes a fairly long shot and Remkoe fakes a touch to throw Montyconnor off, 3-0 Northern. Deevo goes for a ground follow up thingy but it's defended well, remkoe takes a dribble, dangles 2 defenders and can slip it past to extend the lead to 4. A redirect from Remkoe hits the crossbar and the followup from Deevo does the same thing. Now some pressure being applied from JAM, but NG are determined to keep the Clean sheet. JAM have improved now, but they're on the ropes and need to win all 3 games.

Game 3

Express hands possession over to Turbo from the kickoff but NG fail to do anything with it. Shot from Express is easily saved by the lurking turbo and he charges up field to knock the ball down and open the scoring. Immediately, Deevo fancies another Goal and he gets a shot from the side wall to the far side of the goal. A pass to Turbo but an early dodge and a tough angle means that the European Power cannot add to their lead. Express gets a touch onto the backboard but Deevo awaits to pinch clear it away to their opposition half. A blocked flick from Bango sees Turbo dunk him and the ball can roll into the Orange goal. Remkoe blocks a shot from the rushing offense as they are desperate to get at least 1 goal this series. A counter from JAM and Express' shot is on target, Bango can shadow it to secure their first goal of the series. The countdown begins, and the EU Seed gets a sweep as the ball drops in front of their own goal.

Summary

Back to the drawing board for the OCE team as they now will fight for their tournament lives on Saturday. However a positive out of this, means that we get to see Northern Gaming vs NRG as well. FeelsGoodMan.
