RLCS World Championship - Mock-it eSports vs Alpha Sydney

9 years ago by HoxianYob in Esports
After their Triumph Yesterday against NA's weakest Seed, The OCE Roster of Alpha Sydney will take on Europe's best at The Wiltern. However there is the battle of the two contradicting Scrim preformances, as Mock-it struggled and The Aussies Evolved. They will be no push over for Mock-it.

The Lineups

MOCK: Kaydop

MOCK: Fairy Peak!

MOCK: Miztik

AS: Jake

AS: Drippay

AS: Torsos

Game 1

We are finally Underway! Day 2 commences with possession going up to Drippay. Fariy Peak booms it up to the Orange half as they attempt to get an early goal but an organised defense can rid of the danger. A far post shot is saved by Torsos but their boost is being stole every second. Miztik plays it onto the bcakboard but Jake can rotate up to clear it away temporarily. Kaydop with an attempted redirect but it's too the left of the goal post to keep the scores tied. A pass from the middle to Fairy Peak! can send it nice and high into the top of the goal. Miztik to Kaydop and the ball is in the OCE teams half again. But the engine is warmed up now and Alpha Sydney can take control of the ball. Torsos attempts a dribble but it suffocated by Blue cars and the ball bobbles free to the Mock-it defense. Kaydop with a pass to Miztik but the angle is too strong and AS get away with it. Fairy picks up possession but it's snatched immediatley. With 30 seconds to go Mock-it still have the lead, Jake sends it down followed by Drippay, cleared away though. Miztik takes it away and Fairy Peak's shot hits the floor for a 1-0 win.

Game 2

Neutral kickoff and an early Fairy Peak shot is saved away. Moments later he takes a touch from the wall to pound the ball down from a great height to take an early 1-0 over the Australians. Drippay with the dribble but his flick can't quite go over the final defender and Mock-it can turn around and Jolt onto offense. Fairy with another shot but Jake can make a clutch save and as Mock-it get more and more confident, they look more and more dangerous. Drippay with a clear away and a follow up from Torsos, his shot though is weak and can only be collected by Kaydop on the goal line. Miztik's touch is blocked away by one of the dominus' and a midfield shot from Drippay hits the top right corner and roots the goalie to the ground to equalize half way through Game 2. Jake's backboard setup is cleared up by Fairy Peak who is trapped on the back wall making saves. A pass from the wall to Jake and the shot is bar down, but unfortunatley for them Kaydop clears. 1:00 to go and we're still all tied up, but Torsos capitalises on a demo on the goalie to take the lead. The NA crowd desperate for an EU downfall and chant "Alpha Sydney" which echoes around the Wiltern. 10 to go and Mock-it can't conjure a goal and the series is tied up.

Game 3

10 seconds in and Mock-it change the tone as they commit to offence early in the game. Miztik pinches it past the last defender and then can bounce shot over Jake in the goal to open the scoring for the European's. Torsos plays it off the roof and it bounces down in front of Kaydop in the goal, but he takes a touch and can dribble it to safety. Drippay booms it off the back wall to try and relieve pressure on his net but Mock-it stay on attack, they don't go away that easily. A 50/50 with the offender vs defender and it falls down to Fairy, but cleared away. A pass down to Miztik, he can't do anything with it however and a long shot from AS can only hit the frame of the goal. Jake onto the crossbar and Torsos does the same as they can't put it in. A 50/50 with Kaydop and Jake goes Neutral and Kaydop rotates in to secure a 2-0 advantage. Miztik spoils an opportunity for the Aussies again as he blocks Torsos' shot early into the last minute. Miztik goes up and can get a low double tap off the bar into an open goal, and match point goes to Mock-it, after some 0 second syndrome from both teams.

Game 4

Hopefully we can see AS take this to Game 5 in this series. But they need to win back to back games. A pass from Drippay to Jake and a Torsos demo on the goalie means that the early advantage goes to the OCE Team. A defensive pinch away from Mock-it goal and a bounce shot from Fairy can only be blocked by Jake in the back. Miztik drops it down but Kaydop is beaten to it by both Drippay and Torsos. An interesting back wall play-spiny thing from Kaydop leaves the audience in Awe, as he equalizes the game up. Drippay to Jake but he is immediatley pressured by the Mock defense to force the ball away. Miztik off the backboard but Drippay can clear it away early. 1:40 to go and we are still locked up. Fairy's shot is blocked, but a very, very slow Aerial from Kaydop catches everyone off guard and can push it to the close corner, 2-1 Mock-It. With one minute left, Jake's shot is saved and due to a really big commit, Kaydop can counter and score an open net. Alpha Sydney, fighting for their Upper Bracket lives but are struggling to get off defense. Countdown starts, and Mock-it take their time, to take the Win from the OCE team.

Summary

Alpha Sydney were good. But Mock-it were very good! With miztik popping off in Game 3, Mock-it could deal with a potential banana skin in a professional manner.
