RLC Pro League Announcement / Sign-up

8 years ago by RoguishElf in Esports

“We felt it was our job, essentially our obligation to take this thing to the next level… And that’s the Rocket League Central Pro League.”

This statement from the President of Rocket League Central, Blake “CloudFuel” Tull, excited the viewers that came out for the stream on Saturday. After two weeks without Rocket Royale, anticipation for the oft-hinted announcement was off the scale. Many people were enquiring about the future of Rocket Royale and other eSports events from RLC. All of those questions, and more, were answered with Central’s biggest announcement since it’s inception.

The Rocket League Central Pro League, or RLCPL, was announced on Saturday with the intention for it to become the premier Rocket League pro circuit. From the prize pool, a minimum of one thousand dollars, to an open qualifier tournament, to regularly casted matches, to a highly anticipated All-Star Match, RLCPL sets the stage for the future of Rocket League e-sports. Below is a breakdown of all the phases of the RLCPL and the necessary information to get your team in the running for the grand prize!

All of the following events will be 3v3 'standard' matches

RLCPL – Open Qualifier (12/12/15 - 12/13/15)

NA and EU specific tournaments Open to all entrants Professionally Casted starting at Round of 32 Top 8 teams qualify for the Pro League Qualifier Note: The 2 teams that auto-qualify for the RLCPL and the 8 teams that auto-qualify for the Pro League Qualifier will not have to participate.

RLCPL – All-Star Events

NA All-Stars vs EU All-Stars Winning region secures the higher seed in the playoffs (thus gaining home region advantage in final)

RLCPL – Pro League Playoffs

4 teams from each region are invited 8 team double elimination bracket based on League standings

That’s the format. It is a growing league that will culminate in an epic finale. We are all very excited to be hosting this for you all. But don’t just be a spectator! You can participate by signing up for the Open Qualifier, right here on rocket-league.com.

As far as the state of Rocket Royale and the other Rocket League Central events, these will keep coming, but not just yet. We plan to continue Rocket Royale, but we have not yet decided in what manner. We are definitely looking forward to future Pro Draft tournaments (yes, an EU Pro Draft will happen, we haven’t forgotten you), as well as other fun events.

I will leave you with another quote from the infamous CloudFuel as we move forward with RLC events.

“We wanted to get the best of the best together, and show them off to the world.”

Thanks for reading and fly safe.

It's 3v3, and it's only for NA and EU at this point. We would love to expand into South America, but at this point it's just NA and EU.
