Last week when Psyonix announced that premium DLC’s would be going cross platform if you’d bought them previously, we had a feeling that some older premium DLC might be due a return. Well, it turns out we were right, because the McLaren 570S DLC is back on the ingame item store today!

Originally released as a paid DLC pack way back in 2018, the McLaren 570S was available for purchase for $1.99 or your regional equivalent until Rocket League went free to play last year, at which point all premium DLC packs were removed from sale.

Similar to recent licensed DLC’s like the F1 2021 and NASCAR bundles, the McLaren 570S is available on the item store for just one week. Launching today, May 27th, it’ll disappear from the store again on the 2nd June.

Much like the other recent premium DLCs, the McLaren is based on the Dominus hitbox. It may not be everybody’s cup of tea, but it’s a solid hitbox and combined with the beautiful McLaren styling it may have the potential to become your new daily driver. Do be aware of the customisation restrictions though, custom decals, antennas and toppers cannot be equipped. If you can't live without that Happy Penguin topper, then sadly the McLaren may not be the one for you.
