How many hours have I to play at day to get GC

I have been for like 3 years playing rocket league but I am always in plat 3 or diamond 1 . Maybe it's because I play 1 hour at day. Is one hour a to little time if I play rocket league?

My cousin hit gc with 3500 hours so try to hit that goal and do training, custom training packs, and play comp 3s, 2s, and 1s.
