The simplest path is to RLG allow multiple simultaneous giveaways and accept more donations from the common player base. By doing so we can avoid a pure user based giveaway, avoiding all of the problems that would come with it and keeping the best of the use, while helping the RLG marketing by increasing the frequency of giveaways and the community by given some items.The random selector is already being used for these current giveaways and they often quote who gave the item to the giveaway, so I think it’ll be a win-win.

I love this! However…The problem would be stopping people who want to use the giveaway to self-promote, but in actuality just “give away” the item to a friend. I don’t know how you’d ensure the giveaway was truly random, unless RLG implemented a whole new feature like that, which seems like a lot…If you want to give away something without getting exposure in return, then just post it for 10c and a note on the trade saying FREE 🙂 This method also usually ensures that it goes to a little kid because most people won’t even reply, thinking it’s a scam. You’ll make their day.
