Just because boycotting the item shop won't make epic bring back trading doesn't mean it's pointless

Epic appears to be in a bit of financial trouble right now, considering the number of people they've let go and their recent push for more items. If they aren't making enough off of that (due to boycotting), then they may see Rocket League no longer as a source of income but as a burden. It's a long shot, but potentially they would then sell it to someone who actually cares about the game and get quick money to get them out of their pickle. Doubtful, but possible.
