Help pls

So I js got on to play a tourney but then I was consistently getting 200+ ping and it was barely playable. I thought it might js be the server so I joined the second chance and the same thing happened in that one. I did js switch TVs (to a newer one) but I don’t think that would’ve affected it. Does anyone know why this is happening?

You've probably got the wrong region selected, either put it on Recommended or set it to your own Continent. Switching the display has no affect on your ping. Also make sure you have a decent connection, if you're on wifi and the router is a couple rooms away, that's going to mess with your latency.

@VTX_blink If you play on pc, plug your computer into Ethernet or straight into your internet. Otherwise, I’d play closer to your WiFi router. Metazolid got you. He’s the expert.

to add to metazolid, if you lag is not affecting your car, your car isnt jittering around, you're prob on the wrong server. for tournaments, the region is on the bottom left in the menu, you can change your region by clicking on settings and scrolling to the very bottom on the first tab.
