When You Win A Tourney…

Bro my mmr went super high when I won this tourney. I was abt plat 1 div 1 at the start of the tourney and then I got to abt diamond 1 div 1 with just one tourney. Is it just me or are tourney ranks messed up.

I’ve won 2 tournaments and my score didn’t change at all.

You gain 20 mmr per won standard tournament game but gain nothing if its an extra mode tournament

@The_Steve I think the issue is that I got into gold then got sucked back down to silver so I’m not earning any points for my tournaments. I’m trying to get back up to gold to see if that will change, but it’s rough with no regular partners and 75% of the players at this level don’t seem to understand rotations, zone coverage, or what side of the ball to be on sometimes. I don’t like to be that player that ball hogs and I like to give my teammates chances to play as well. It’s just this weird place where some of us are obviously trying to get better and the rest are just playing to play. Ant that’s their right, I just wish they wouldn’t exercise that right in ranked lol

@antron007 I my bad, I thought you meant the tournament mmr. Yeah you're right, most players at this rank can't "think" properly when it comes to basic scenarios. I'm not saying every gold is stupid, it's just that most of them lack gamesense. This doesn't really change until you're in diamond. Before diamond, every player on the field will go for mostly every ball. If you want, we can play a few matches together so you are back in gold.

@The_Steve is this confirmed or your own suspicion? Cause that makes a lot of sense

I think it might be kind of like placements, where your mmr moves a lot with just a couple games

@Thought101 yeah, especially if you win 2 back to back, I was in 2 diamond tournys, won both, and got placed in champ tournys. The game thinks that since you won so many games without any losses then you should be a higher (tourny) rank than you were matched up against

@Thought101 you place through 5 series of rounds and if you get through all of them you get 20 mmr per round you win and you get 20 taken away if you lose so if you win all of them the highest you can get is 100 per tournament

No its just not you I've had Several SSL's or Yellow Tag GCS in my Champ 2 lobbies in tornys so the rank system is messed up badly in torny.
