Welcome to the Rocket League Power Rankings!

Each week, our committee will be ranking the best teams based on a variety of criteria as well as providing commentary on the teams who make it into the Top 10. The committee is comprised of players, content creators, fans, analysts, & coordinators to help diversify opinions and come to a general consensus. Each committee member has their own method for determining team rankings (ranging from stat-tracking to instinct), but they only count for a single vote since the individual ranks are averaged together. Each member will also list a team that didn't quite make the Top 10, but they feel is on the rise and should be watched.

While we do our best to ensure that we are fair and impartial, it is important to remember that these are just opinions and will most likely change weekly. If you have any questions, thoughts, or suggestions, please send them our way. We’d love to hear from you!

iBUYPOWER Cosmic

Roster: Kronovi, Sadjunior, Gibbs

iBuyPower remain on top of the Power Rankings for another week. This was not the easiest decision to make as they by no means played perfectly in their 5-0 sweep of Apollo 11, and it could be argued that they showed their ability to capitalize on others mistakes more than their ability to force those mistakes. With that being said the form iBP finds themselves in currently lead us to expect nothing less than the 5-0 they delivered, whatever the fashion of it. With their next showing in the RLC Pro League being a Week 5 clash with current Heirs-To-The-Throne Kings of Urban It is safe to say that iBP will need to show up to hold onto this lofty spot atop North American Rocket League.

Frostbite

Kings of Urban

Roster: Fireburner, Jacob, Moses

Number two this week is still Kings of Urban but, will that change in the upcoming weeks? Kings of Urban took us by surprise when took every game from OC. We were expecting them to win but, to sweep them is another story. Averaging four goals per a game, they hammered down on OC. Not only showing that they are a superior team but, that they will keep going at any team until they win. Kings of Urban is now on iBP Cosmic’s tail with being one win behind them. Kings of Urban is keeping it close to iBP Cosmic, and depending on the upcoming weeks could definitely take that number one spot from iBP.

Dex

Orange Creamsicle

Roster: Edwind, Quinn Lobdell, Gambit

OOOOF! That was rough for Orange Creamsicle this week. Edwind came back this week but it did not help, at all, with OC getting swept by Kings of Urban. OC looked very unorganized; players kept being in the same spots and rotations were really off. With both OC and NOT having rough weeks and Nexus not playing, it was hard to put anyone as the #3 team in NA this week. But someone has to be #3 so OC congrats? Hopefully they can bounce back after getting more reps in with Edwind and they can make a strong case to make playoffs.

Gibbs

Untethered

Roster: Lachinio, Vafele, Pluto

Untethered didn't play this week. The End. Jokes aside, just as Gibbs mentioned, it's like no one wants to be the #3 team for whatever reason. Had Untethered gotten some playtime in then we'd get at least a little more to think about, but I digress. Looking back at the previous week, Untethered lost 2-3 to OC (OC had a sub playing for edwind) and that was it, so surely these guys aren't making and traction if they want to be ranked higher. Taking a peak at Untethered's situation, they're 5-5 and currently 3rd in the RLC Pro League, so with this Sunday's match being against KoU, if they can come away with at lest 2 wins, they are looking really good.

Dirkened

NOT

Roster: Klassux, Low5ive, KyleMasc

Coming into this past weekend's RLC Pro League week 3 match-up against Failure to Launch, Never on Target looked like the stronger team statistically speaking. 4 games into the match, however, it became apparent that this was going to be a bit of a knock-down / drag-out style brawl. Both of these teams were hungry for wins after facing the current contenders for the NA regular season crown (iBP Cosmic and KoU), but ultimately only one could walk away victorious. In the deciding game 5, NoT found themselves on the wrong side of a 1 point differential loss. Though NoT recorded 8 shots in that game (1 more than FtL's 7 shots) and saved the same number of goals as FtL did, they were unable to pull out the win. When looking at the match overall, though the majority of games were fairly close, NoT was nearly outshot 2:1 by FtL. Considering there isn't much else to go off of this week nor last week, it's hard to tell where each of these teams belong and it essentially comes down picking the smallest of details and stats to separate each team. NoT certainly has the potential to knock off the best teams (as they've shown in recent past), but they are also susceptible to losing to teams ranked well below them (as they've also shown in the past). These inconsistencies make it very difficult to find the right spot to place the NoT squad, so for this week they'll move down slightly and have to settle for being tied with Untethered.

CloudFuel

Failure To Launch

Roster: Genocop, Zanejackey, HotWheelsSid

Oh man, one of the bigger upsets this week belongs to the underdogs of the RLC Pro League - Failure to Launch. Their match this week was vs NOT, the previous week’s number 3 team. Despite FtL having a shaky start the first two games, they really came into their own on game 3, putting 4 goals on the board without getting scored on themselves. This game was crucial in shifting the confidence and momentum in their favor. Had this been a closer victory then maybe NOT could have taken one more game considering games 4 and 5 were much closer. A 3-2 vs a top 5 team definitely helps prove that Failure to Launch isn’t in the pro league by chance. With some of the best teams in the league out of the way, lets see just what Geno, Zane, and Sid can do.

Sub'n

Apollo 11

Roster: Huskih, fl0w, Azi, PrimeThunder, Lars

Apollo 11 did not have a fun week, not many do when they have to play iBP in Pro League and seemingly refuse to play in other tournaments. They may feel like they should have taken at least one game off of the top dogs iBP but the mistakes piled up throughout the series and despite the close game Five they did not manage to pull one out. Having separated from their org SnK it must be asked if that will affect their upcoming matches both in Pro League and any other tournaments they decide to enter. Next week is a solid chance for an upset from the Apollo boys as they face off against a slumping NoT, a win there could be the start of a return to top class.

Frostbite

Turbulence

Roster: Turtle, Jayyyrah

Turbulence, unlike their name have not moved anywhere in the power rankings this week. Playing with two subs in ESL #26 they lost to Jorizzo’s Goodies however, they did take Jorizzo's Goodies into round five. They have definitely shown themselves in the last few ESL tournaments as a better team. Now the team just needs to get down a solid lineup. I can see this team going very far once their line up is down. Definitely add this team to your watch list.

Dex

Foremost

Roster: Wildeeman, Knuggs, GarrettG

A relatively unknown team, Foremost has proven they are a group of top players. With past experience in winning ESL 22, they’ve come back this week taking apart teams like Ascension (3-1), Avidity (3-1), and Moon Men (3-1) until finally falling in the finals to the pug team Jorizzo’s Goodies. Foremost seems to have the innate ability slip the ball out of the other team’s grips with solid defence and play that adapts from team to team. We know that they can take out power ranking teams (Avidity, Moon Men, Failure to Launch), but it’s a shame they don’t get many chances to face top 5 teams outside of last month’s esl monthly final vs Untethered. Maybe after the pro league we’ll see the top 7 and sub-7 teams face off more often. As of right now there is a little stratification going on.

Sub'n

Moon Men

Roster: Amoney, ENIGMA_PLEASE, Kerupt

Moon Men fall one spot this week on the heels of a repeat 'almost had it' in ESL, falling in the semi-finals for a second week in a row. Unfortunately, Moon Men couldn't completely get it together to capture 3rd place and they would fall to Spectacular Outlaws. It seems that Moon Men is a solid team that dangles on the precipise of a major success in ESL and therefore a big future ahead of them, but only time will tell if they can take that next big step and remain in the top 10.
