na Power Rankings {11/25/15 - 12/2/15}

Welcome to the Rocket League Power Rankings!

Each week, our committee will be ranking the best teams based on a variety of criteria as well as providing commentary on the teams who make it into the Top 10. The committee is comprised of players, content creators, fans, analysts, & coordinators to help diversify opinions and come to a general consensus. Each committee member has their own method for determining team rankings (ranging from stat-tracking to instinct), but they only count for a single vote since the individual ranks are averaged together. Each member will also list a team that didn't quite make the Top 10, but they feel is on the rise and should be watched.

While we do our best to ensure that we are fair and impartial, it is important to remember that these are just opinions and will most likely change weekly. If you have any questions, thoughts, or suggestions, please send them our way. We’d love to hear from you!

Roster: Kronovi, Sadjunior, Gibbs, KyleMasc

Welcome back IBP Cosmic! After a few weeks of meandering against the best of the EU scene in Rocket Royale, they came out on fire this past Sunday to finish in 2nd place just behind FlipSid3 Tactics. Along with the 3rd place finish for Kings of Urban, this marks the first time in 5 weeks that the Top 3 is not entirely comprised of EU teams. Prior to their great run in RR, though, they nearly missed the event entirely with a late 3-2 win over the newly reformed Orange Creamsicle. They are definitely still the team to beat in NA, but it will be interesting to see if that close OC game was just a fluke or a sign of a new rivalry in the making.

Kings of Urban

Roster: Fireburner, Jacob, Moses

The Kings of Urban continued their path of team destruction this week, leaving nearly all of their opponents writhing in their wake. With big wins over teams like NOT (twice), SK Gaming, & Noble eSports, they've certainly done enough to guarantee their #2 spot for another week. The 3-0 loss to iBP Cosmic, however, firmly locks a ceiling over them for the time being. They definitely have the talent to hang with the best, they just need to continue with their consistent run as of late and ensure that they capitalize on opportunities as they arise. They certainly have the makings of a team that could challenge for the crown in the coming weeks.

Roster: Klassux, Low5ive, ?

NOT is solidifying their spot at #3 due to their excellent performances in RRQ and good run through ESL. With a fantastic appearance in RRQ after beating nXs 3-0 and MM2 3-1, it was definitely a struggle for the team going into RR against the #1 rated in the world and then the #2 in NA, but what doesn't kill these guys will absolutely make them stronger. While NOT wasn't quite as successful in ESL as they faltered against SnK, they have still remained a consistent contender in the RR tournaments as well as runner up in the MLG 5k series, giving them vital experience against the best of the best

Orange Creamsicle

Roster: Edwind, Quinn Lobdell, Rizzo

Orange Creamsicle seem to have found a third for the time being. Gambit joins the roster but with his recent moves, who knows for how long. Creamsicle looked very good in the qualifiers up against iBP Cosmic. They had a 2-1 series lead until Cosmic came back and won another qualifier. They did not take part in ESL but they did also take out Nexus in the IRCL. Those two matches alone show that they deserve a spot near the top. My only worry is if this team starts losing Gambit may jump ship again.

Roster: Lachinio, Vafele, Pluto

Nexus are in the middle of a tumble down Cooper's Hill and there is no cheese at the bottom. They continue to drop sets to teams that they used to beat time and time again. They lost 3-0 to NOT to fail to qualify for Rocket Royale as well as losing to Orange Creamsicle in the IRCL. I wonder if they can bounce back or if the teams below them will continue to catch up.

SnK Apollo

Roster: Huskih, fl0w, Azi, PrimeThunder, Lars

SnK has added fl0w to their roster (and relegated PrimeThunder to a sub role for now), but only performed marginally better this week compared to last week. Part of the reason could be that they had Pluto of Nexus subbing in during Sunday's ESL Cup and having a new sub generally throws off a team's dynamic to some degree. With fl0w now a part of the squad, they definitely have some of the best 'non-vet' talent on their roster, but the expectations for this team are still a little higher than they've recently achieved.

Mad Magic 2.0

Roster: SoonTM, SteveGatesRL, zOctanEz

Mad Magic 2.0 is here to stay! They failed to qualify for Rocket Royale but they bounced back the next day to win ESL in a close series vs SnK. In the past two ESL's they have a First and Second Place. They continue to look consistent as this new reincarnation. They need to grow some more before being able to take out top teams but they could steal a series soon.

Jorellis Goodies

Roster: Corelli22, jodari, magicgoodies

In a sea of ever-changing dynamics (aka the competitive RL scene), Jorellis Goodies took a bit of a break this past week. The only game that we have noted for them is a 1-3 loss to Orange Creamsicle in the Rocket Royale Qualifiers. Considering how well they've done over the past 2 weeks, a small blip like this doesn't affect their positioning too terribly, but they do drop 2 spots this week when factoring in how the teams above them performed.

Fusion Corps Blue

Roster: BigFunny, DistinctIsMe, Hi Im Kirito

FCB is still on a really strong run in the ESL scene, however outside of it I've been a bit curious about what is going on. They've lost two straight weeks in IRCL with last week being a 1-3 loss to Voltage, but I guess it's difficult to look deep into that without seeing what else they've done, like a victory over GGe Hello? and a good performance against MM2. It could be a difference of rosters or it may not, however FCB has still proven to be a very strong team when they're on point, and that's what's keeping them in the top 10.

Divine Entity

Roster: Cinemuh, HotWheelsSid, genocop

Word on the street is that we may not be seeing Divine Entity in the same form as we did last week, but we're still impressed by them either way. Having knocked out some strong teams like Straight Outta Boost and Electric Zero, Divine was already making great progress, but the fact that they brought the ESL champs Mad Magic 2.0 to a game 5 and down to the last seconds, is what was the most impressive feat for them. We haven't seen much from DE as they have constantly faced teams like NOT and SnK in the second round, but they definitely showed that they were a team to be afraid of.
