Batman is back! … again! Maybe we should call him Backman?

This time around Robert Pattinson is at the helm of the classic franchise and the latest film, The Batman, is out this week on March 4th. To celebrate this all-new entry in the Batman series, a new bundle is now available on the Rocket League in-game item shop. 

The star of this bundle is the brand new Batmobile, which in this iteration is reminiscent of the kind of highly modified muscle cars you’d see in the Fast and the Furious. With hints of classic Dodge Chargers and Chevy Corvettes in the mix, it’s sure to be a classic, and it can be yours today! Well, in Rocket League anyway.

This time around there seems to just be the one purchase option given that there’s only one Batmobile, and basically everything in the bundle is restricted to that body. You also can’t use any other items on the new Batmobile, so it’s basically the same as the other ones. Don’t expect any real customisation options here, sadly.

The brand new goal explosion is the only thing in the bundle that can be used separately with other loadouts, and it’s pretty great. That said, if you have any of the older Batman goal explosions, then the difference isn’t that noticeable. While this is a nice extra, it might not justify the cost of the bundle alone.

On the subject of cost, the Batmobile 2022 Bundle costs the standard 1100 credits. Given that you get a cool body and a goal explosion it seems fair enough, although the lack of customisation options is a little bit frustrating.

The bundle appears to be available for one week, starting today, March 2nd, and running until March 8th. During this time the Gotham City Rumble Limited Time Mode is available once again, which takes the standard Rumble mode and replaces the power-ups with cool Batman themed ones, it’s worth a look. 

So, which Batman’s Batmobile do you think is best? My heart will always lie with Christian Bale’s Batman from the Dark Knight Trilogy and his Tumbler, but it’s perhaps not the best in Rocket League. Let me know down in the comments, along with whether or not you’ll be buying the bundle.
