Last year we saw Rocket League partner with Nascar for one of the biggest real-life bundles of the year. But 2021 became 2022, we’re all a little older, NASCAR has introduced an all-new car spec, and last year’s bundle is starting to feel a little bit out of date.

If only, say, I don’t know... Rocket League and NASCAR had partnered once again to launch a refreshed bundle for 2022? That would be nice wouldn’t it?

Well, given the title of the article, you can probably see where this is going by now - the next generation of NASCAR cars is available right now in Rocket League!

The bundle this year is fairly similar to last year’s. In name it contains the three same bodies, being the Ford Mustang, the Chevrolet Camaro, and the Toyota Camry. However, they’re refreshed versions that mirror the improved Next Gen cars of the 2022 NASCAR season.

All three battle cars roll on refreshed Goodyear Racing wheels. These look a little cooler than last year’s, although it’s basically impossible to when the car is moving anyway. As well as unique engine audios, all three bodies come along with a generic Rocket League decal similar to last year too, which is pretty cool. 

What’s cooler though are the team-specific liveries, which are where this bundle is likely going to generate the most interest for the NASCAR fans amongst you out there.

For the Mustang, you can represent Team Penske’s #12 car, Front Row Motorsport’s #34, RFK Racing’s #17, and Stewart Haas Racing’s #4.

For the Camaro, you have four choices too, there’s Hendrick Motorsport’s #5, JR Motorsport’s #7, Trackhouse Racing’s #1, and Richard Childress Racing’s #8.

Last but not least, the Camry. On the Toyota you can rep Joe Gibbs Racing’s #19. So actually, I guess it is kind of least actually, but it's still quite a nice look.

Along with those decals, each team represented also comes with its own player banner, so if any of those are your favourite, you’re in luck! If your favourite isn't on the list, then the bad news is that there doesn’t seem to be any more team-specific decals in the pipeline for this year. However, the good news is that this definitely isn’t the end of the 2022 NASCAR content. Calling this a bundle is actually a little unfair - it’s more of a Fan Pass for this year’s season. 

Although the details on the next content aren’t super specific just yet, Psyonix’s article on the matter notes that there will be two further drops of NASCAR goodness later in the year. One will contain additional decals that highlight the Mustang, Camry and Camaro brands, while the second will contain NASCAR decals for Octane, Fennec and Dominus. It’s a shame that not all teams can be repped with full decals, but that would be a lot of decals, so I kind of get it.

By now you’re probably thinking that’s quite a lot of content, how much is this going to cost? The answer to that is 1100 credits, which honestly almost feels cheap considering the amount of content on offer. You’ll only be able to get hold of all of this between April 20th and April 26th though, so get those credits together quickly if you want to buy the pass.

You may remember that last year the NASCAR bundle was quickly followed by the Formula One bundle. Will we be seeing a bundle for the new F1 season with the cars based on the all-new 2022 regulations? I have no idea, unfortunately. But as an F1 fan, and somebody who’d quite like George Russell’s Merc or Lando Norris' McLaren be as quick as the Ferrari’s, I sure do hope so.
