As we edge ever closer to the end of 2021 it seems that Psyonix is giving us a drip feed of new content. First it was the Dorado Series, and the announcement of Frosty Fest ‘21 with the associated Golden Gifts feels like it’s due any day now. However, before that, Psyonix have launched some all-new premium DLC from Ford, and it could be one of the best packs yet.

First announced earlier this week, the new Ford bundle is all about Mustangs, specifically the classic Shelby GT350R from 1965, and the all-new Ford Mustang Mach-E.

The GT350R is a true classic, embodying everything a Ford Mustang should be and released as an special edition just one year after the first ever Ford Mustang hit the road back in 1964. The GT350R was most famously driven by Ken Miles, the Ford racing driver who you may know of if you watched Ford v Ferrari a couple of years ago.

The Mach-E meanwhile is Ford’s first proper foray into the world of Electric Vehicles, and with a 0 - 60 speed as low as 3.5 seconds and gorgeous styling, they’ve done an excellent job. The use of the Mustang name is questionable, given that the Mach-E is basically a crossover SUV, but nevertheless it’s an excellent car with, by default, styling vaguely similar to that of a Tesla Model 3. The RLE edition though seems to be fitted with a variety of race spec components, including a huge rear wing and aggressive front diffuser.

On the subject of looks, thankfully both of the bodies allow almost full customisation, the only limit being that you cannot use licensed items on the cars. You’ll be able to use any normal, unbranded items like an Interstellar decal or Apex wheels, for example, but you can’t use any branded items that don’t come in the bundle.

If you want to buy these battle cars, there are two different bundles, both of which contain a body, two decals, a set of wheels, a player banner, and engine audio. The Mach-E bundle also contains a boost.

In terms of pricing, each individual bundle costs 1100 credits, which seems to be a standard price for a bundle like these nowadays. If you want to purchase both then you can buy them together for 2000 credits.

The bundles are available for about two weeks, from December 9th through to December 22nd 2021. After the 22nd there’s no information about when (or if) they’ll return to the shop, so make sure you pick them up now if you want them.
